Gispen 404

This chair inherited its name deckchair because it was used on the Holland-America liner in the nineteen thirties.
This design is suitable for either in or outdoor use " avant la lettre "
The frame is made out of stainless steel and the seating comes in 2 remarkable designs:
Plaited artificial rattan stretched over the stainless steel frame. The artificial rattan is available in 3 different colours: white, natural and anthracite
Coiled steel springs attached via hook and eye to the frame giving a more flexible sit. The adjoining cushion for this mode is quilted in rows to avoid pleating and also available in various colours.

Typical Gispen are the long armrest with its S curved form, once again in true bakelite! These armrests are also available in Beachwood and an ivory colour.
