Rugs from Edition Bougainville
Product description
Nepalese hand knotted all pure silk
Concept
This collection of classic French rugs is a tribute to the extraordinary and ample heritage passed on by the Savonnerie and Aubusson royal manufactories. New life is given to these original paper drawings created mainly by Charles Le Brun and Louis Le Vau for the Galerie du Louvre under the reign of Louis XIV, in addition to many other creations contributing to the reputation of French decorative arts up to the beginning of the 19th Century.
