Dining tables from Edition Nikolas Kerl, Designed by Nikolas Kerl
Product description
Concept
A handcrafted massiv wood dining table made to measure.
For the design of this dining and working table, Nikolas Kerl was guided by the dialog between two types of wood. Light, strikingly grained chestnut is carried by darker, nearly black beech. The beech wood acquires its remarkable tone through a unique thermal process, which darkens the wood fibers from the core outwards. A clamp joint in Biedermeier style suspends the table plate on its frame. This allows the wood room to breathe without restrictions. The massive nature of the table is defined by its legs, slightly angled to the outside, which seamlessly mesh the table with a room.
Material: Swiss chestnut FSC, swiss thermo-treated beech FSC
Dimensions: 86.6 x 35.5 inch
Produced in: Kägiswil CH
