Ribbed ceiling
Ceiling from Elementwerk Istighofen
Product description
Ribbed slabs – made from concrete elements – can cover large distances without supports. The height of the ribs is determined by the length to be covered. Depending on your preferences, the surface can be smooth or rendered with a subtle wood texture. The rib is a load-bearing element and is installed and concreted at the time of erecting the building shell.

Concept
We offer products in 3 different concrete types:
Steel reinforced concrete
Ideal element thickness: 10cm and above
Classic, solid and multifunctional. Elements made from this type of concrete are reinforced with steel. Their possibilities are virtually boundless – provided there are constraints of weight and element thickness. They are used for structural as well as non-structural applications. All solutions are based on precise designs. The elements are produced in a manual casting process.
Surface treatment: washing, matt and smooth finishes
Formliners: yes
Available in all colours
High-performance fibre reinforced concrete
Ideal element thickness 30mm to 10cm Similar to normal concrete but lighter. Elements made from this type of concrete have the same visual characteristics of classic steel-reinforced concrete. They are thinner and have limited load-bearing properties. The elements are produced in a manual casting process. If planned meticulously, the dimensions of the resulting elements are assured to be precise to one mm.
Surface treatment: sand blasting, washing, matt and smooth finishes
Formliners: yes
Available in all colours
CEMFOR® glass fibre reinforced concrete
Ideal element thickness: 16mm to 30 mm
The light version for more usable surfaces. Elements made from this type of concrete are reinforced with glass fibre. They are not structural (not load-bearing), have slab-like visuals and a closed surface. All elements are carefully designed and made by hand in an injection moulding process.
