Product description
CARMEL is an attractive, discrete, environment-friendly drinking fountain with a cylindrical shape resembles a lipstick tube design. It consists of a reinforced cast stone base, a ring of cast aluminium that slots into the base, and a nuanced column in stainless steel sheeting. The tray is also in cast aluminium. The water drainage channel is in polished stainless steel with an open end to reduce clogging. CARMEL´s cast stone base includes a cut-off valve mechanism and a pressure regulator, as well as a recessed drain trap to avoid the need for an auxiliary pit. The tap mechanism is a commercially available timer button, easy to install and replace if blocked or worn out. This item was designed in 2000 by architect Enric Pericas as complementary street furniture for the CARMEl tree surround collection, designed six years previously and now widely used in Barcelona.
