Concept
The KANYA street light series consists of conical posts on a slight 85° angle with several height options: 10, 12 and 15 metres. KANYA is available in COR-TEN or stainless and galvanised steel with four or six brackets for the recommended round parabolic floodlights. The KANYA street light was designed in 1996 by architects OlgaTarrasó, Jordi Henrich, Jaume Artigues and Miquel Roig to illuminate the beaches on the Barcelona seafront after they were transformed into public spaces. Its reference to slender fishing rods encrusted in the sand and sloping towards the sea was clearly the underlying inspiration for this initial installation. It was subsequently revised to illuminate large areas, especially in zones defined as city limits with large-scale civic traffic.
KANYA collection is extended with the vertical KANYA-18 made in two instalments.
One of 11.40 meters and another of 6.6 meters, both together with an inner tube. It comes equipped with 6 supports for any standard projector.
