Serp Confort

The SERP modular bench, designed by C-O-M-B-I-N-E, was conceived for deployment as both a bench and a boundary for the outdoor terraces of the MAX burger restaurant chain throughout Sweden. The varied configurations of each terrace called for varied clusters of this modular bench system, primarily in order to distinguish and shelter the terrace areas from the parking zones. The collection consists of five models with different lengths and radii. In combination, they form long benches. The modules have a square section (50 x 50 cm.) and smooth, rounded edges. They are installed simply, resting unanchored on the ground. Each module has two 2 cm high props to insert transportation slings and facilitate rainwater drainage. The SERP bench has also been installed in the raised square at Barcelona's Diagonal Mar shopping centre. In this case, the modules include an encasted synthetic wood seat.
