Festspielhaus Erl

Path lights from ewo, Designed by Halotech Lichtfabrik, Gerhard Dollnig

Product description

After two years of construction under the direction of the architects Delugan Meissl, the Festspielhaus for the Tirolean Festival Erl was inaugurated in December 2012. ewo developed a new form of luminaire for this cultural institution, which is both impressive and respect fully integrated into the landscape, a fixture that does not compete with the architecture.

In addition to the integrated lighting elements to illuminate the outdoor spaces, there are LEDs directed towards the inside of the fixture’s disk-like casing, visibly illuminating it since the bands around the sides are made of Plexiglas.

While adhering to the uniform programme thus defined, the pole lights fulfil various functions depending on their location: along the driveway, numerous high poles provide evenly distributed, clearly delineated illumination. Lower poles around the building create a playful rhythm of light and dark. The corresponding configuration, which uses our standard LED unit while masking the glass surface, makes the variation possible.
