Concept
Based on Danish Design and Tradition
The Hiti series is the result of an exciting collaboration between designers Philip Bro and Dögg Guðmundsdóttir. Bro was born in Australia but has lived in Denmark most of his life. He has brought a playful and unconventional approach to Danish design in his work with some of the best-known brands. Guðmundsdóttir comes from Iceland, and her work exhibits both the influence of her home culture and a reinterpretive take on the Danish design tradition.
U1 Hiti Pendant Lamp by Philip Bro and Dögg Guðmundsdóttir:
The handsome U1 pendant lamp has a more streamlined look than its partners in the Hiti lamp series (floor lamp, table lamp, pendant lamps with globes), lacking their large blown-glass globe. Its wooden element is made of walnut.
U2 Hiti Pendant Lamp by Philip Bro and Dögg Guðmundsdóttir:
This distinctive pendant lamp earned a place as the first of its kind in the FDB Møbler catalog. Its most eye-catching feature, shared with the floor lamp and table lamp in the same series, is the globe’s compressed spherical shape – a beautiful form, organic and simple. The globe is in blown opal glass, and its wooden element is walnut.
U3 Hiti Pendel Large by Philip Bro and Dögg Guðmundsdóttir:
Opal / Walnut. 40 x 40 x 22 cm
U4 Hiti Table Lamp with Blown glass by Philip Bro and Dögg Guðmundsdóttir:
This distinctive table lamp earned a place as the first of its kind in the FDB Møbler catalog. Its most eye-catching feature, shared with the floor lamp and pendant lamp in the same series, is the globe’s compressed spherical shape – a beautiful form, organic and simple. The globe is in blown glass, and the legs are walnut.
