Chairs from FDB Møbler, Designed by Ejvind A. Johansson
Product description
J67 Ejvind A. Johansson Chair, Oak, H: 80 B: 46 D: 51
Concept
Designed in 1957, relaunched in 2013 – a chair with a fine visual balance between light and heavy, feminine and masculine.
• Classic and stylish
• Designed in 1957, but never outdated
• Made of molded oak with solid legs
Comfortable and unmistakably Scandinavian in style, the J67 is equally at home in a dining room or at a kitchen table.
Danish Design That Lasts
Ejvind A. Johansson was the third director of engineering at the FDB Møbler design studio, following Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther. The J67 is one of his most famous chairs from that period; original vintage models still enjoy cult status at secondhand shops and auction houses.
One look at this chair, and you immediately get the sense of a carpenter who was ahead of his time. Its combination of solid craftsmanship and timeless lines ensures that the J67 is never out of style – its current auction prices prove it!
Materials and Production
The seat and back are molded oak. Legs and frame are solid oak. All wood is FSC certified from European forests.
Note: Wood is a natural material, and slight differences in appearance can occur, even small variations in the same piece of furniture.
This chair is adapted and adjusted to present-day sizes and seating comfort.
Maintenance
Wipe the J67 with a clean, barely damp cloth.
