Domus System

Domus is the result of a unique collaboration between Carlo Colombo and Centro Ricerche Giorgetti, a sign of the deep harmony that has now been created between the designer and the company. The Domus system decrees the return to rigorous volumes, to the orthogonality of the lines, to the beauty of minimal shapes. An essential structure defines the units which, thanks to their modular nature, make any kind of customisation possible. The exposed metal frame, finished with an elegant bronze-titanium tone, allows to assemble several columns. Each element is available in versions with or without hinged doors, the many variants of finishes make each version of the project unique.
Wood, metal, glass, leather: the combination of materials highlights Giorgetti's inclination to experiment with construction techniques. The structure can be customised using completely different materials that only the excellent Giorgetti’s manufacturing skills can harmonise with the millimetre processes. The frame is made of aluminium with concealed lighting, the shelves are in wood or leather, the drawers are in wood with the possibility of covering the details in leather, the modules can be customised with accessories.
Domus takes its name from the ancient "Roman domus", in which the spaces were divided based on their function, thus reflecting the versatility of the product: the bar module is characterised by shelves with glass and bottle holders, the game element is equipped to contain all the Giorgetti games, the office module is equipped with document holders and office accessories, the entrance version has a shelf with aluminium hanger bar. The piece is equipped with an umbrella stand and a complement to house plants and cut flowers with an integrated lighting system.
