Duetto - a harmonic duet of cotton and paper yarn
A hand woven rug of cotton tricot and paper yarn. Hanna Korvela Design’s international breakthrough, the Duetto rug, received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 1997. Hanna Korvela Design has been producing Duetto since 1995, and today it is regarded as a classic of modern Finnish design. The character of the clean-cut and modern rug is created out of three natural materials, paper yarn, cotton tricot and cotton yarn. Their mutual bond creates a graphic, three-dimensional surface. Duetto, reflecting the harmonic colour scale of nature, combines the tradition of Scandinavian rug making with modern ideas of design, by the variations in the different materials and structures and tensions created by them. DUETTO is available in customs sizes and in 19 colours. DUETTO is entitled to use the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Association’s label.
