Product description
About A Chair AAC 252
DESIGN BY HEE WELLING & HAY, 2010
Featuring a five-legged castor base, the AAC 252 combines optimal functionality with modern aesthetics. Retaining the fundamental idea shared by the AAC collection, this model is characterised by a curved shell with a slightly higher back. Designed with optimal functionality in mind, the shell construction offers a deep, generous seat that combines inviting aesthetics with a high level of comfort, whilst the lower armrests provide good support and enable the chair to fit underneath a table or desk. The base is designed with a gas lift that can adjust the seat height and is available in either polished or powder-coated aluminium, with the post-consumer recycled plastic shell offered in a wide palette of contemporary colours and multiple front upholstery options. The multitude of variants and design combinations give this series great versatility in a wide range of corporate, public, and private contexts.
DIMENSIONS
W69 X D69 x H79 - 91.5 x seat height 44 - 56 x seat depth 42 CM

Concept
The About a Chair collection is the result of a long-term collaboration between HAY and designer Hee Welling. From the outset, the goal was to create a connected family of chairs based around one simple, strong idea, which still retained the individual qualities of each model. By making the frames, shells and upholstery options interchangeable, the About series provides a wealth of design possibilities as well as retaining the elemental form. This multi-functional series includes dining and conference chairs, office chairs, bar stools, lounge chairs, tables, an ottoman and a sofa. Its versatility and contemporary expression make it suitable for a wide variety of private or public environments.
