HIRAM Habitat decking boards are crafted from the prime sections of locally sourced Douglas fir logs using a specialized rift-cut technique. This unique cutting method ensures that the wood has a consistent grain pattern, making it exceptionally durable and dimensionally stable compared to standard softwood decking boards.
By treating the decking boards with various oils, they can be customized to suit a wide range of designs. If left untreated, the boards will naturally weather to a silver-gray patina.
The wood for our terrace boards comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests. We source this timber through our own roundwood trade. With years of experience, our team carefully selects the finest logs and marks them in the forest for the finished product.
