Concept

Motobayashi is a Japanese wood manufacturer based in Tokushima Prefecture.
The collection of drawers Cartesia was named for the Cartesian coordinate system. It is a drawer system for use in corners which allows drawers to be pulled out in two directions The development of a new mechanism brought about the birth of these drawers which support the use of multiple drawers simultaneously—something that was not possible with existing drawer systems. The characteristic shape of the item formed by stacking inverted trapezoids was born from the rationality of hiding the handles.
