Ondrian 1 Light Sconce
Wall lights from Hubbardton Forge
Product description
Hand-worked beams of textured steel lend a bold touch to the design for the Ondrian Wall Sconce. The glass rests on a horizontal outcropping and serves as striking contrast to the forged and welded steel. Crafted by artisans at our forge here in Vermont.

Concept
Piet Mondrian was a painter involved in the De Stilj artistic movement that came out of Amsterdam in the 1920s. Our collection takes inspiration from Mondrian and the movement. Using a hammer manufactured in a neighboring town more than a century before, red-hot steel is worked to create the subtly distressed look of the vertical bars that counterbalance the simple horizontal lines. Although we're a long way from the Amsterdam of the 1920s, our art-obsessed craftspeople are still representing "The Style."
