Ondrian 2 Light Sconce
Wall lights from Hubbardton Forge
Product description
Hand-hammered steel bars barely brush against each other to unify the elements of this wall sconce. Simple rectangular glasses counterbalance each other on either side of the steel center. Forged and formed here in Vermont, each piece is unique.

Concept
Piet Mondrian was a painter involved in the De Stilj artistic movement that came out of Amsterdam in the 1920s. Our collection takes inspiration from Mondrian and the movement. Using a hammer manufactured in a neighboring town more than a century before, red-hot steel is worked to create the subtly distressed look of the vertical bars that counterbalance the simple horizontal lines. Although we're a long way from the Amsterdam of the 1920s, our art-obsessed craftspeople are still representing "The Style."
