BARK is an exploration in materials – a lounge chair with sustainable principles at its heart and the first fully recyclable commercial lounge chair. The first edition was showcased at the 2017 Stockholm Furniture Fair as part of the Danish Design Makers collective. BARK is robustly built with a tactile warmth that only comes from wood. Furthermore, the chair is fully sustainable and biodegradable, born of the renewable ‘bark’ harvested from the Cork Oak tree. The chair is crafted with a deep appreciation for comfort while remaining enormously tough for the rigours of the commercial setting.
