Meerssen Oak
Dining tables from JOHANENLIES
Product description
MEERSSEN OAK is individually customisable, as special requests can be made regarding dimensions and finishes. The illustrated model has a length of 200 cm, a height of 74 cm and a width of 90 cm. Table MEERSSEN is formed of a recycled, antique oak table plate and a steel frame in its natural colour following rust-sealing treatment. However, all the colours of the RAL pallet are available for the frame upon request. In addition, other woods can also be requested.
Concept
A Desk made from recycled oak and steel.
Table MEERSSEN is distinguished by its filigree appearance. Its graphic lines and well-proportioned table plate create a harmonious overall picture.
The minimalist design and light, airy expression give table MEERSSEN an elegant appearance. The distinctiveness of the table lies in its particularly robust, 2 cm-thick, three-layer table plate made from recycled, antique oak wood that is up to one hundred years old. The table plate is sealed with organic hard wax oil to protect and care for the wood while expressively accentuating its patina. The table frame is made from 2 cm x 4 cm square steel tube that has been rust-sealed, ensuring that it’s durable and corrosion resistant, but otherwise left in its natural state. Due to this individual processing of the steel frame, each piece is unique and captivates with its rough industrial charm.
As a desk, this puristically designed model can integrate a restrained and simultaneously expressive element into a wide variety of interior designs. Alternatively, it can also be combined with many different, classic chair or bench designs as a dining table. As with all our products, this piece is manufactured in co-operation with regional producers under most the environmentally friendly conditions possible.
