Susteren Tarpaulin Grey

A shelf made from recycled timber and steel.
Inspired by the traditional ladder, this shelf impresses with its form and function; it completely dispenses with superfluous elements.
Shelf SUSTEREN is based on an angular, 3 cm x 2 cm steel tube frame, which is powder-coated in tarpaulin grey (RAL 7010). Within the frame there are six 3 cm-thick shelves of recycled timber. The shelves are glazed pearl grey, and then coated with organic hard wax that protects and carers for the wood while softly highlighting its patina. Without an obvious front or back, it is suitable as a freestanding item of furniture as well as a wall-shelf. Visually, it isn’t too dominant, allowing space for, and not detracting from, the objects placed upon it.
As with all our products, this piece is manufactured in co-operation with regional producers under most the environmentally friendly conditions possible.
