Functionality and design aesthetics at its best!

Task chairs are supposed to be a motivational partner, taking the strain off your back muscles while working all day long in the office. This notion was the inspiration for the development of series 6000 São Paulo. The name alone evokes associations with cheerfulness, vitality and an easy-going attitude to life. The product specifications of this new task chair were to offer users all the ergonomic features needed for a healthy posture and to keep the handling as easy as possible. The design aesthetics had to live up to the highest standards.

Variations.

The cantilever always comes as an armchair, optionally with a stacking frame. Featuring an upholstered seat, mesh backrest, optionally with an upholstered back pad on the front, powder coated or chrome frame, with glides adapted to the flooring.

The height adjustable task chair for offices either comes with a plastic or aluminium base, equipped with a dual synchronized mechanism as standard. The seat is depth adjustable and fitted with seat forward tilt. Featuring an upholstered seat, mesh backrest, optionally with an upholstered back pad on the front, without resp. with 2D/3D armrests with PU pad, not forgetting the loop armrests. Headrest and lumbar support are optional extras.

The conference armchair comes with elegant loop armrests and with either a plastic or aluminium base – fitted with glides. The standard synchronized mechanism enables the user to frequently change his postures. Headrest and lumbar support are optional extras.

Sustainable use of materials, intelligent construction.

Series São Paulo is produced with the most economical use of materials. A sustainable resource management was a basic premise for this concept. The entire series is basically made of extremely sturdy, glass fiber reinforced plastic and of the most recycled materials worldwide steel and aluminium. Plastic is mainly used for the seat and the backrest, and for some armrest variations. Steel is used for the mechanism and the supporting construction elements, including the cantilever frame. The 3D armrest support and the loop armrests are made of aluminium. The base, which has a diameter of 72 cm for the best possible stability, is either made of plastic or aluminium.

The modular construction principle makes it possible to easily exchange or retrofit individual parts. It is even possible to renew the backrest upholstery or the mesh backrest on site. An ingenious solution has been devised for this purpose: the backrest frame features an all-round groove, onto which the mesh fabric is fixed through reinforced edges. The same goes for the upholstered back pad with its sandwich construction of a carrier material with reinforced edges, polyurethane foam and the cover fabrics. As a result, both mesh fabric and upholstered pads are solidly fixed and at the same time the frame prevents damages to the fabrics caused by accidental collisions.
