Coda 2 107
Upholstery fabrics from Kvadrat, Designed by Norway Says, Per Bjørnsen
Product description
Concept
The Coda 2 upholstery fabric is the result of collaboration between young furniture designers and an upholstery manufacturer steeped in tradition. This partnership has resulted in a classic wool upholstery fabric consisting of 90% new wool and 10% polyamide, but with a twist in the combination of colours and in the design of the weave. Coda is woven in two layers and the colour scheme contrasts neutral and strong colours in the top and bottom layers respectively. The colour scheme has 18 colours altogether.
The two-tone layer accentuates the three- dimensional character of the fabric and shows off the pattern to maximum effect. The fabric also has a strong tactile appeal by virtue of its combination of a rough surface and the sober, graphic style of the pattern. Coda is intended for both the contract and the retail/consumer markets.
