The contemporary British made lampshades are named 'Splice' after the furniture range with the same name that were designed for an award winning cafe in Putney, London. The shades use the angular net pattern as seen in the splice stool panels giving it the same industrial feel. The angular shape was inspired by the geometry of dockside machinery and the super structure of ships that surrounded us at our old workshop on shoreham sea front.
