Concept
Rapson Cave Chair
Made in the USA from recycled plastic, this perfectly oversized, futuristic, comfortable and fun, modern chair will induce hours of conversation – whether you’re sitting in it or just walking by. The Rapson Cave Chair was inspired by midcentury architect Ralph Rapson’s Cave Chair illustration. Ralph originally conceived the chair in 1943 as plywood with a cushion, but it was never produced. The chair is named after the earth-excavated Cave House that Ralph designed – but never built – with Dave Runnells in 1939.
Rapson Lounge & Rocker
The Rapson Lounge and Rocker honor midcentury architect Ralph Rapson. Loll worked with Ralph’s son Toby to create an eco-friendly version of the Rapid Rocker, originally built in the 1940s. This resin patio chair is made in the USA from 100 percent recycled plastic. Both the lounge and rocker are available in 10 colors and in high back and low back options.
