Concept
MCP is an important piece of the Lumen Center Italia collection designed by Gilles Derain in 1980 in honor of the ‘La Maison de Verre’great architect Pierre Chareau. Chareau took part- together with Eileen Gray and Charlotte Perriand – in the UAM (Union des arstistes moderns), a movement which was active between 1928 and 1958 and which subsequently became the International Modern Movement. Gilles Derain was a great assayer and academic of this movement which influenced some of his own works. MCP is presently in the Permanent Collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal.
MCP, floor lamp made of lacquered metal with epoxy powders. It uses halogen Eco Energy Saver sources of 230W and it is supplied with a switch dimmer. Available in matt black or sandblasted aluminum finishes with chromed details.
