Feldmark | Dining Table
Dining tables from Magazin®, Designed by Roland Graf
Product description
Breaks with the conventions for solid wooden tables: FELDMARK consists of seven planks that are inserted without fogging and held in place with four beech wood wedges.
The picture of the craftspeople plugging the planks together and fixing them with strong hammer blows makes for an archaic experience. The rough surface remains untamed - neither wax, oil nor varnish close the pores. The design focuses on material reduction, intelligent construction and creative simplicity.
The Weymouth pine version of the FELDMARK is particularly untamed, rough and rustic. This version is only partially weatherproof.
Dimensions: W 275 × D 72 × H 74 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Material: Weymouth pine (origin: Germany), beech wood wedges (origin: Germany)

Concept
Breaks with the conventions for solid wooden tables: FELDMARK ZWO consists of seven planks that are inserted without fogging and held in place with four beech wood wedges. The picture of the craftspeople plugging the planks together and fixing them with strong hammer blows makes for an archaic experience. The rough surface remains untamed - neither wax, oil nor varnish close the pores. The design focuses on material reduction, intelligent construction and creative simplicity. This table by the Viennese architect Roland Graf has become an integral part of our range. We manufacture FELDMARK ZWO from local spruce and in a slightly wider, more practical size. You can use FELDMARK ZWO as a work desk, furniture in the studio or dining table – for outdoor use, it is only suitable to a limited extent. By the way, more sustainability is hardly possible: The processing of the local wood remains in the region and does not involve any treatment of the surfaces.
