The long-standing partnership between Molteni&C and Patricia Urquiola has been enriched with a fine new family of products: two floor rugs together in an exclusive collection. The Spanish designer offers her creative interpretation of the values underpinning Molteni&C’s production, in tune with the refined but sobre elegance that the brand represents. Rugs return to their original purpose as islands, places where people sit down together and forget their daily chores. Always different, because they express a blend of superb western creativity and ancient craft traditions from Asia. Ancient hands interpret the designs, contributing those small personal variations that have always been the weavers’ prerogative and their added value. And it is precisely this combination, along with natural materials, that has given rise to this harmonious collection of rugs.

A different interpretation of the same creative idea that inspired Loop&Cut. In this case, the weaving is even and the reference to knitting is provided by a simple raised edge.
