Product description

Current living-room space increasingly demands multifunctional products such as, for instance, the ideal sofa-bed for guests on a short visit but basically designed to furnish either one-room or duplex flats. Molteni&C meets customer requirements with OZ, designed by Nicola Gallizia, a product that from “sofa” is easily converted into a comfortable bed. The transformation is implemented through an easy to use, cutting-edge, patented, servo-based mechanism. In fact, the transition from one function to the other entails extraction of the bed base and “magical” disappearance of the lateral armrests under the frame, converting the sofa into a real bed made only of the headrest and back. The back too has two positions to allow correct use for the chosen function. The appearance is characterised by the choice of innovative materials such as quilted fabric with an original design and coloured stitches contrasting with fabric hues.

OZ comes in two sizes: W 181/201 D 1150 H 63 cm for the sofa and W181/201 D 210 H 63 cm for the bed with a functional space of 160/180 x 200 cm for the new generation orthopaedic mattress. Two pillows/cushions are included in the proposal. Technology, functionality and design at the highest standards for OZ, as only Molteni&C can offer.
