Product description
The aluminum shelf added a sensible shelf to the Rolf Heide stacking bed. As a storage for the magazine, alarm clock or smartphone. With a width of 250 mm and length of 390 mm, it offers enough space for everything that must always be within reach.
Concept
The stacking bed. The original. 50 Years celebration.
It was back in 1966 that Rolf Heide came up with his ‚stackable daybed‘, which the ‚Schöner Wohnen‘ magazine rightly described as a modern classic. Wherever and whenever an extra bed is needed, the stackable daybed is immediately accessible, offering more comfort than many conventional beds, and taking up little space when stowed away. Of all Rolf Heide‘s creations, the stackable daybed is the one that comes closest to representing his design credo: employing simple materials combined in a deceptively logical way and finished off with a single stroke of genius that gives the object its characteristic face, in this case the flowing rounded corners of the side sections.
The stacked bed is also available as a comfort height. The only difference between the comfort and the original version is the height. The single bed is four, the staked version eight centimeters higher. The difference in height can be of great use if you need more space for mattresses and slatted frames.
Sun yellow, sky blue and grass green – there is only one colour for children and that’s bright! Not only is our classic stacked bed the ideal companion in the kindergarden due to its stability and durability, but it also helps to create a cheerful atmosphere for the little ones through its wide range of colours.Due to its functional design the bed can be comfortably stacked on top of each other to give plenty of room for playing. At lunchtime they then convert back to individual beds and the border slat works as a practical fall out protection for the very small children. An optimal supplement to this would be the attachment cabinet system Modular: enabling almost limitless storage space due its wide range of combinations.
