Drawing inspiration from Art Deco and early twentieth century architecture, the Empire’s patterns created by the gold leaf and the sumptuous upholstery texture fashion a dazzling tridimensional sculpture, a visual metaphor for a cityscape. More than a folding screen, a state of mind.
