Product description

MIDAS is a chair with strong roots in the Danish design history and Danish craftsmanship. The wooden elements of the chair are softly molded and then milled out following smooth and elegant curves providing the user a high level of inviting comfort. During the design process many experiments were made to ensure this convincing comfort, both when sitting upright and when leaning back in a more restful position.The distance between the molded elements changes all the way around. In some places the curves defining the edge of the elements are parallel, elsewhere they goes apart and then elegantly approaches each other again. The design is graphically strong and convincingly developed to provide the chair with an interesting design language. With a simple frame in black powder-coated steel, the chair becomes light and elegant. All together is Midas an interesting, elegant and highly comfortable chair made from the best materials in an exquisite quality.All components are manufactured in Denmark in collaboration with local suppliers and craftsmen continuing the long Danish tradition for highly skilled furniture design and craftsmanship.
