Though understated in presentation, this stunning Vintage rug is able to unify any area in which it is set, simply because of the colors chosen and the clearly defined angles and lines that convey orderliness and purpose. A stony gray border surrounds the piece, the same color used in the series of lines running in rows and columns through the heart of the Marianne Richter design Swedish rug. These lines serve to divide the elements at the background into a series of rectangular shapes, grounding their beautiful colors and establishing a defining amount of contrast between the otherwise cool color palette. Misty blue, deeper azure and faded sapphire tones all come together to establish variety within the palette without drawing too much attention away from each other.
