Product description
Concept
Coffee table with blackodised steel frame and patinated brass top.
Brushed brass trim. Hand crafted in the North of England.
An ancient technique used to protect steel from corrosion, blackodisation consists of burning a mix of oil and wax before applying the residue to raw metal. The result is a rich, dark, tactile surface with a subtle scaly texture.
The patinated brass top consists of varying tones from tarnished bronze to vibrant copper. Akin to a natural stone, the hand-applied patination offers subtle variations across each surface.
120cm (length) x 80cm (width) x 35cm (height).
