It is hand knotted Soumak (flat rug) which gives the look of pigtail/chain. This is made in wool fine New Zealand hand spunk wool in natural colour without any chemical or dye. After weaving the rug is wash by especial technique for more softness and nice outlook. The red lines are cut pile.
