Product description
Concept
This is regarded as the most typical item of Malmsten’s furniture. The Samsas model is a further development of the original ‘Konsert’ model, designed by Carl Malmsten for the Stockholm Concert Hall in 1923. In designing his furniture, Carl Malmsten was inspired by Swedish nature and culture. He gave his furniture names that evoked associations. The name Samsas (‘Side by Side’) says it all. O.H. Sjögren has succeeded in ‘Side by Side’ with this item of furniture for over 50 years. Framework made of solid pine from Swedish forests. The seat is made with nozag springs. The padding consists of cold foam, polyether and fibrefill. The legs are made from solid oak. All production is done at O.H. Sjögren’s factory in Tranås, Sweden.
