Stair Beige

STAIR LAMP draws inspiration from the fundamental geometry of stairs. Its solid base in relation to the resting globe creates curiosity and awakens the child within. The balance between playfulness and seriousness is reflected in the design and brings to mind old fashioned building blocks that the designers used to play with as children. ¨A snapshot of gravity ¨ was the starting point in the design process which has influenced the form heavily.
The combination of two geometries and how they interact communicates the complexity of the simple and the importance of that two are often required for a complete set.
With built-in functions such as a pair of USB-C charging ports and a power outlet, STAIR LAMP becomes more than just a lamp. In everyday life it is the small hacks that matters. Charging your phone or hiding your adapter in an intricate way gives a new look to your working station, bedside table, or your children’s playroom. With a heavy base and sculptural approach STAIR LAMP is also a modern take on a book support.
