Pavilion
Gazebos from Paola Lenti, Designed by Renato J. Morganti
Product description
Pavilion is an architectural structure composed of hexagon top panels and support side panels. It allows for the protection of large areas from sun and rain like a tent inspired by the nomadic tradition yet with a contemporary appearance. The top frame is made of a special extruded aluminium. The uprights and the cross beams forming the side panels are made of steel.
The joints connecting these elements determine the different inclinations of the panels. The covering fabric is fixed to the structure with a system enabling easy assembly and disassembly operations.
The waterproof covering of the hexagon tops and the side fabric support panels is available either in white polyester fabric or in Paola Lenti’s signature fabrics Madras or Tamil.
Pavilion was designed according to the regulations NTC, Technical Construction Standards.
When properly fixed to bearing surfaces, Pavilion is guaranteed to withstand wind loads up to a maximum of 70 km/h; beyond this limit, the covering fabric releases from the structure spontaneously, although remaining partially anchored by means of a safety lock.
Pavilion is included in ADI Design Index 2014. It is winner of the Interior Innovation Award 2014 founded by the German Design Council, the MIAW, Muuuz International Design Award 2013 as one of the most innovative products of the year 2013 and the Good Design Award 2013 in the category Outdoor Structures.
