JP Splatter Painted Log Table

In a dramatic and expressive fashion, our talented artists pour, drip and splash paint over the surface of a solid kiln dried log to create these striking, graphic and cheerful tables. It goes without saying that this technique creates pieces which are each unique and one-of-a-kind. Dancing around with their soaked brushes, they view the logs from all angles using their entire bodies to paint, in an active, frenetic style. This blend of natural element and human creativity begins with a Ponderosa pine log harvested in Northern New Mexico. It is seasoned for months to enhance the natural cracks and separations found in sun-dried wood before being painted and sealed with a protective finish.
