Katahana Hand Painted Log
Side tables from Pfeifer Studio
Product description
Employing the graphic impact of modernism, abstract forms play across a solid wood log table in a striking dance of positive and negative. Each table is an original work of art, intricately hand-painted by New Mexico artist, J Meyers. This blend of natural element and human creativity begins with a Ponderosa pine log harvested in Northern New Mexico. It is seasoned for months to enhance the natural cracks and separations found in sun-dried wood before being painted and sealed with a protective finish.
Material:
Ponderosa Pine
Harvested primarily in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, the wood is seasoned for several months in a solar kiln and allowed to develop organic cracks and separations which occur naturally as the wood dries and shrinks. Time may accentuate these separations, or generate new ones. This movement is considered inherent to the natural beauty of the design.
Dimensions:
12 dia x 16 H inches,
12 dia x 20 H inches
or 12 dia x 22 H inches
