Gap
Shelving from PORRO, Designed by Carlo Tamborini
Product description
The wall unit bookcase Gap, designed by Carlo Tamborrini, is an object with a sculptural vocation. It consists of a backdrop, thin shelves and an outer metal frame that generates a strong aesthetic sign that acts as a book-end as well as a light source, thanks to the built-in LED strip that runs through its perimeter. This vertically developed bookcase is a precious and versatile solution thanks to its compact size that spectacularly lights up and furnishes any space in the house. Two precious metal finishes are available: rosso cina and grigio piombo. The intensity of the LED light can be adjusted via a smartphone app.
Concept
With his original interpretation of daily objects, Carlo Tamborini starts his collaboration with Porro from the Gap hanging bookcase. A sculptureinspired object, it is composed of a backdrop, shelves and an external metal frame: a strong aesthetic item which simultaneously acts as a bookend and as a source of light, thanks to the LED strip which runs along its perimeter. A bookcase that develops vertically, ideal for passageways like entrances, bathrooms, kitchens, it is also a great solution to scenically light up all the parts of a house, choosing between 2 precious metallic finishes: rosso antico and grigio piombo.
