The new Eless skid-base chair (design: Dimitri Riffel) has been stripped back to the essentials, yet remains an elegant contract chair. What makes it truly special is its extremely compact stacking: The combination of a very slender frame with a linear shell enables up to 45 chairs to be stacked together, saving valuable storage space. Available as a complement to the skid-base chair is a skid-base barstool, of which up to 35 can be stacked together.
The delicate frame is made from round steel tubing in cantilever quality. It provides a unique combination of high stability and low weight. A high level of seating comfort is achieved thanks to the shell which is crafted from nine laminated layers. A number of different options are available from staining or varnishing of the beech or oak veneer to an easy-care and durable HPL coating of the shell. The HPL shell has a thickness of only 8 mm. This gives Eless its particularly delicate design and allows high stacking. Thanks to its simple form, visually pared down to just two materials, and the wide choice of colors available, this chair can be easily adapted to different interior concepts.
Whether used in restaurants, conference rooms or office environments, the Eless is extremely versatile. The skid-base chair is ideal for exhibition and multipurpose halls, where the speed of set up and dismantling is vital, along with space-saving storage.
