Wiener Fauteuil barstool

In creating the Wiener Fauteuil collection, the corporate architects at BEHF set out to show off and bring to life the charm of Viennese coffee-house culture. The result is seating furniture with an indulgent and luxurious allure. Its contours are reminiscent of the mindset of 1950s' designers which took its leave from Italian, Scandinavian and American industrial design. Despite their historical roots, the furniture clearly reveals its modern design background.

The cherry wood chair with moulded seat, bentwood backrest and without upholstery reflects all the meticulous craftsmanship of a furniture design studio. The wooden elements are held together with small, visible dovetailed joints, while the white varnished top coats and seat surface create glossy highlights. The version with the seat, backrest and feet clad entirely in leather requires genuinely masterful upholstering skill. The collection features chairs in two different sizes, a stool and a two-seater bench, all available in both versions.

The upholstered armchairs with contrasting piping and solid wood legs exude an air of comfort and inviting warmth. Despite radiating the impression of a cosy armchair, they are also designed for use in luxury dining areas, especially wherever the focus is on an individual statement. They are ideally complemented by the matching table. The same visible dovetailed joints as used in the wooden chairs is also found in the bar stool, whose comfortable upholstery also features contrasting piping.
