In the process of designing a kitchen for a house, the first step is to establish dimensions and uses, taking into consideration the space and architectural limitations. At this stage, the kitchen does not yet have a name or a definition. Only later will it become a specific model with a defined customisation. These bona fide design pieces can be used freely to contribute to the character of a design when integrated with the kitchen layout or placed in the space as a finishing touch. Often interchangeable, each with its own unique features of shape and material, they can imbue any design with fresh significance.
