Silestone | Hotel furniture Pullmann Hotel London
Display cabinets from Rosskopf + Partner
Product description
After a complete renovation, the first Pullman Hotel in London St. Pancras opened its doors to the public. The 4-star Accor Group house impresses its guests with its modern, stylish design concept using high-quality materials. Rosskopf + Partner was responsible for the production of various furniture elements made of quartz material for the reception area, the bar and the restaurant.
The first impression counts – not least when you enter a hotel. An inviting ambience is crucial to make guests feel comfortable at first glance. But daily use demands a lot of the hotel interior. This makes it all the more important to use high-quality, durable materials that do not lose their attractiveness even at a second glance. In 2012, the current Pullman Hotel in London St. Pancras was completely renovated using plans from the architectural firm, Leach Rhodes Walke and the Accor Group. Dula-Werke Dustmann & Co. GmbH was commissioned with the completion of the interior decoration, who in turn, specialized in creating the exclusive design inside the building.
While the reception area is rather puristic and designed with a straightforward decor, the bar is fresh and colourful. The restaurant is dominated by somewhat darker, warm colours and creates an elegant ambience. "The elaborate interior design is inspired by the urban and dynamic flair of the neighbouring railway station King's Cross," explained Raoul Voegeling, project manager at Dula. Stylized rail motifs characterize the walls and the furniture, which was largely made of high-quality Silestone® quartz stone.
For this purpose, Dula joined forces with Rosskopf + Partner, a processing specialist for quartz material, who had already transformed their ideas in previous projects. The material experts from Rosskopf + Partner initially subjected the design drawings of architects and Dula to a detailed feasibility study. After fine-tuning, the project team of experienced engineers and craftsmen produced the various parts in just three weeks at the Obermehler facility in Thuringia.
