Product description
This interlayered glass product sandwiches a layer of Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) between two sheets of high quality low iron glass, giving an excellent white appearance with minimal tinting. Due to this laminated construction the product is heavier than other glass varieties such as back painted.
The PVB interlayer gives the product safety and security glass performance as it will remain intact if broken, unlike toughened glass which fractures into many small but safe fragments. The interlayer also provides additional acoustic barrier performance to the product, filters UV radiation and is UV stable.
Caution must be taken when specifying in extreme hot climates due to the potential risk of delamination. Use in areas of high humidity can also lead to delamination through moisture ingress.
