Sibast Table No 2

Sibast Table No 2 takes its inspiration from the side table by Helge Sibast designed in the late 1950’s as a gift to his wife. Table No 2 is designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast together with the daughter of Helge Sibast who like the father is a skilled architect,cabinetmaker and the mother to Ditlev Sibast. They designed the table with a clear vision to create a simplistic and sustainable dining table, which matches the design of the chairs by Helge Sibast. “It has never been my grandfather’s intention to hide his chairs under a table. They need to be placed by the table. Therefore a simplistic and narrow table design underlines the beauty of the chairs and makes a great combination – where functionality meets aesthetics” says Ditlev Sibast.

With humility and outmost respect for their Danish design heritage Sibast Furniture has with passion for beautiful design continued to develop new ideas for launching Sibast items bringing them into the twenty-first century however always staying true to the design, quality and craftsmanship by which their grandfather’s designs were made in.Anna and Ditlev Sibast created the new design company Sibast Furniture with the purpose of bringing their design legacy forward.
