Concept
Puristic charm for walls and floors
Motorway bridges or house foundations - concrete has always been a very important building material. In the meantime this no longer just applies to external structures but interior designers are now discovering the material increasingly for themselves. “Some people have a negative image of concrete in their mind,” says Stefan Grimmeisen. Wrongly, thinks the Head of Marketing at Steuler-Fliesen. “The concrete look fits in superbly with a high-quality modern lifestyle.” And therefore also with Steuler-Fliesen.
“Beton”, the German name for concrete, is now available from gres|steuler, the porcelain stoneware brand of the tile manufacturer based in Mühlacker. It comes in four different shades of grey, showing off the quite puristic charm of the concrete it is inspired by. “Thanks to digital printing processes we can interpret the fine structure and minimalistic look of concrete in a superb way,” says Grimmeisen, “and it is also easy to show the indentations and shapes of the pebbles.” This is especially effective on the patterned tiles - which make the walls or floor really sparkle.
And that is not only true in residential spaces. Thanks to the anti-slip R1-/B surface finish, “Beton” is also suitable for public buildings. “It provides shops, hotels or cafés for instance with stylish design options,” says Grimmeisen.
He is convinced that the “Beton” range can contribute to people soon having only positive images of concrete in their minds.

Vision
Is concrete synonymous with grey drabness? Not any longer! It’s impossible to imagine modern architecture without the material – and now it is also taking over interior design. “Beton“ by gres|steuler shows off the quite puristic charm of the concrete it is inspired by. These large format tiles are not only convincing in residential design but also in cafés, hotels and shops - with their fine texture and minimalistic design.
