Rugs from Tai Ping, Designed by Ramy Fischler
Product description
Wool, Delicate Silk & Flax
Concept
Chinoiseries is a subtle collection of rugs and carpets inspired by 18th-century Chinoiserie. This crossover collection, designed by guest designer Ramy Fischler, features a whole new realm of designs, whose origins can be found in the ancient work entitled “Livres de desseins chinois” (Books of Chinese Designs) by Jean-Antoine Fraisse.
Beyond the nod to Tai Ping’s Chinese origins, the presentation of Chinoiserie motifs in the collection highlight the extent to which France was, at one time, fascinated by 17th- and 18th-century Chinese artistic productions and reminds us that China once was a paragon of inspiration for France.
