ZED: DESIGNED FUNCTIONALITY FOR THE OFFICE LIGHTING

It meets the most stringent European regulations on lighting fixtures for offices and satisfies the architects’ needs in terms of quality of the design, eco-sustainability and market competitiveness. It is called ZED and is one of the best examples of the “designed functionality” which distinguishes the entire TARGETTI IN collection. Nothing is left to chance in this fixture for fluorescent light bulbs: every detail is designed around the idea of providing the world of office design with a extraordinarily functional instrument, capable of perfectly inserting itself in any architectural concept and creating excellent visual comfort.

The ZED design is compact (just 87 mm large), elegant and essential; while its capacity to manage light emissions is sophisticated: different light scenarios can be easily created depending on the actual needs of the work space at different times of the day. Made with one single element of extruded aluminium, the ZED design is extremely light due to a thin cut that runs along its entire profile. The compactness is also determined by the particularly small anti-glare grid, which is perfectly “flush” with the fixture's body.

As for the lighting performances, the main plus of ZED is its versatility: the possibility to separately manage the turning on of the lamps and the simultaneous presence inside the fixture of two reflectors (one for direct and indirect lighting and the other only for indirect lighting) allows controlling three different lighting effects (ambience, comfort and work), each corresponding to a different light setting that personalises the work space depending on the activity and allows reducing energy waste and limiting consumption.

ZED is unrivalled even when it comes to visual comfort: its antiglare grid ensures total control of the direct luminance and – together with the excellent reflectors – makes ZED comply with the most stringent European standards (LG7 and EN12464-1 – luminance of <1000 cd/m2 at 65° in all directions, UGR <19).

With two configurations available (1350 and 3100mm), which allows them to adapt very easily to the design standards of the offices, ZED is perfect for illuminating single, double or island workstations. The 3100mm version is ideal for managing the general and functional lighting of entire open-space work areas with a limited number of fixtures.

As for the installation, the times and costs are reduced significantly because there are no joining elements. The bulb socket with one-step rotation makes relamping quick and easy: the light source, despite the extremely compact size of the body of the fixture, turns with one simple click and is ready to be extracted from the reflector.
