Bond Arm Chair
Armchairs from Thislexik, Designed by Vedat Ulgen
Product description
The foundational piece of the Bond Series is the Arm Chair, formerly known as the "Cactus Chair," a transparent acrylic chair that houses a barrel cactus beneath the seat, inspired by the classical cartoon trope of the villain falling on a cactus. While we encourage the trough to be used as an open-air terrarium, the see-through panels allow you to showcase other curios in a clever way.
Concept
The Bond Series is a mirrored collection of the Biscuit Series, swapping the solid blocks of walnut for transparent planes of acrylic. Each piece is UV bonded, allowing for seamless joinery. The transparency of each slab of acrylic allows the pieces to literally blend in with their surroundings without taking up permanent visual residency, making them transitional, not traditional.
